Of course we also offer Complete Performance Training for your horse which can include; Hunter, Jumper, Showmanship, Obstacle (both driving and in hand), as well as Versatility. Lisa won her first National Grand Halter class in 1993 so halter is also available. Most trainers will not even begin to tell you that they train for all of these disciplines.
Following is a "list" of fees along with brief explanations of our "take" on the horse training business:
Lessons
We offer lessons geared towards your level of experience at the rate of $45.00 per hour. If your horse is in training with us, lessons are free! We welcome our clients, be they amateurs or youth, to increase their abilities. When you win it makes us look good and it's the ultimate compliment!
Training
Our training rate is $450.00 per month. While not the cheapest "on the block" we are very competitive and for this price you get FREE lessons from a very reputable, experienced trainer with many, MANY Championships behind her. We have a clean, safe facility. Offering turn out time for all horses. Lots of irrigated pasture. We feed premium grains and horse feed to the show horses with a diet suited to their individual needs. This also includes timely worming, farrier and preventive Vet care (at a small additional cost).
It is our opinion that here in Texas your new prospect should start sometime around November as we start our show season as early as the first of March. Please keep in mind that once contracted to show your horse in it's specific class we DO NOT take another (we don't bump your horse just because another comes along), therefore contacting us early will insure your place in our show string.
For your safety and security as well as ours we require a simple, legal contract from all of our clients. This contract explains the rights and responsibilities of both parties and complies with the laws of Texas. If you would like to see a copy of our contract please call!
Show Fees
When the associations (AMHA and AMHR) publish the list of approved shows each spring, we assemble a list of where we will be going. This list includes a price for us to show your horse at each show and that price is all inclusive of our services (Flat Rate). Your only other expense for that show will be facility charges (stall and shavings) as well as your entry fees. Entry fees must be reimbursed to us as soon as possible.
Our show fees range from $150.00 (Glen Rose is real close) to as much as $600.00 or more depending on location. Not all horses are required to go to all shows and where your horse attends will be discussed upfront. Please keep in mind that the more your horse shows the better he will perform.
