     Background:

     Lisa Barnes, my wife, and AMHA carded judge for 10 years. AMHA National Horse Show judge in 2002. Miniature horse trainer for over 18 years. She is also a member of AMHA's Licensed Officials Committee. Lisa's first National Grand Halter win was in 1993. Lisa showed "Reined Cow" horses in her youth.

     Gary Barnes, Lisa's assistant. I raised Quarter horses and stood a pretty nice Stallion for 10 years. My Daddy and Grand Daddy were both Texas Aggie large animal Veterinarians. I have 6 years of experience in "Minis" and I am the creator and Chairman of AMHA's new Performance Committee. I also am a member of Show Rules and authored the new Performance Futurity (Country & Single Pleasure driving and Hunter) which starts with the nomination of the 2007 foal crop and takes effect in 2010 with their three year old year. I also created the 3 year old Stakes driving classes which paid out over $23,000.00 last year at the AMHA World show!

     We train and show approximately 20 miniature horses each year for Open, Amateur and Youth competitors. We also provide placement services and sales for prospective buyers and sellers of miniature horses AMHA and AMHR.

     Our goal for this site is to  promote AMHA Miniature Driving Horses. Our network of contacts is very extensive and includes Breeders, Trainers, Buyers, and Clients. We spend a lot of time on the road and are always stopping at Breeders and Trainers places to look at horses. We have an exemplary track record when it comes to "evaluating" a driving horses potential and have found many winning horses for clients over the years. Please take the time to look over the horses on both our "For Sale" and "Clients Horses" pages. The "For Sale" horses page differs from the usual ads you will see on the web as they have been evaluated by us.
